BioNhance+® Remediation and Restoration system is newly developed for fast remediation and restoration of hydrocarbon-impacted and hydrophobic water repelling soils, particularly in semi-arid climates. BioNhance+ contains a proprietary water management system to “make the most out of every drop of water,” along with organic matter that reduces fertilizer leaching from the soil, reduces nitrogen losses by denitrification, and creates macrospores to facilitate oxygen penetration, water infiltration, root penetration, and accelerate revegetation.
BioNhance+’s active component is an environmentally safe, nontoxic, water absorbing polymer. It swells and absorbs over 200-times its weight in water during irrigation or rainfall. As soil dries, the polymer slowly releases water into the soil, making that water available to hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria, beneficial soil animals, seeds, and plants. As the polymer swells and shrinks, macrospores are created in the soil to increase aeration and water infiltration.
Ca++Nhance is a mixture of food grade organic acids that react with calcium carbonate in the soil to produce free calcium to combat sodicity. Ca++Nhance requires 20X less water than gypsum to produce equivalent amounts of soluble calcium without the negative effects of gypsum on nutrient cycling and re-vegetation.
